Thursday Powerball

Powerball is the newest and most exciting national lottery game to appear in Australia (started 1996) and is similar to the highly successful Powerball lottery game in the USA, at only a fraction of the price!

Powerball is played by choosing any five numbers from 1 to 45 plus any one "Powerball number", also from 1 to 45, for a total of six numbers per Standard game. The main difference with this game is that since the one Powerball is chosen from a separate set of 45 numbers, there is a chance the Powerball number may repeat any one of the five regular winning numbers produced.

The weekly Powerball lottery draw is broadcast live on Australian national television every Thursday evening at approximately 8:30 PM Melbourne local time. The mechanical random draw produces 5 regular winning numbers plus 1 Powerball winning number resulting in winners for 7 prize divisions. Powerball jackpots are most likely to carry over several weeks and they can reach $30 million or more!

At only 57 Australian cents per standard game or less, Australian Powerball offers the best value to win really really BIG!
